After much work with Taylorsville WMA officials our Chapter has made available a 20+ acre Dog Training Area (DTA) off Crooked Creek Rd. Thank You Greg Sagaser & Jack Dahl for preparing the area for use.
. Our success in creating and maintaing the area could be used as a model for others in the state. Your cooperation and strict adhearance to the guidlines set by the state will determine the future of this and other projects of this kind.
This DTA is ideal for preseason conditioning, puppy training, retrieving ect.
As of 8/15/2018 the Rules are as follows.
Dog Training Areas are marked and designated by signage “Dog Training Area”
***WARNING***
If you must leave the DTA to retrieve your dog or bird you MAY NOT carry your firearm out of the mentioned area outside the legal hunting season.
The parking area will eventually have areal view of the property and any pertinant information.
Stay alert to possible changes by KDFW that may be added to or supercede any of these RULES.
The KDFW is planning on a user info box placed on the DTA to collect usage and data.
PLEASE PLAY BY THE RULES AND ENJOY THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY.
